Paneer Roll

Paneer roll is a very popular Indian street food.. but when you make paneer roll at home it is more healthier and delicious because we are using wheat flour. From this recipe you will get a good amount of vitamin C, as everybody knows that paneer is good source of vitamin C but at the same time the capsicum is also rich in vitamin A and C, and it also has antioxidants properties.

Paneer Roll

Ingredients :

For the paneer filling

  • 200 gms Paneer (cut into cubes)
  • 2 Onion (Finely Sliced)
  • 1 Capsicum (Finely Sliced)
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp Red chili powder
  • 1/4 tsp Tobasco sauce
  • 2 tbsp Tomato ketchup
  • 1 tsp Soya sauce
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp Oil

For dough :

  • 3/4 cup Wheat Flour (Atta)
  • 1/4 cup Maida
  • Salt to taste

Method :

For Dough :

  • Combine all the ingredients and knead into a soft dough.
  • Divide the dough into equal sized portions.
  • Roll out each portion into a thin chapati.
  • Cook each chapati lightly on a tava (griddle) on both sides. Keep aside.

For Paneer Filling :

  • Heat oil in a pan, add finely chopped capsicum and stir fry for 1 minute.
  • Now add the onion and cook till they are translucent.
  • Now add turmeric powder, red chili powder, salt to taste and mix well.
  • Add tomato ketchup, tobasco sauce, soya sauce and mix well. Add 2 tbsp water, paneer cubes and saute on high flame for 2-3 minutes and keep aside.

How to proceed:

  • Divide the paneer filling into equal portions.
  • Spread one portion of the filling in the centre of each chapati and roll up tightly.
  • When you want to serve, cook the rolls on a hot tava (griddle).
  • Your paneer roll are ready to be served.
