Ingredients:
- 1 cup Dhuli Moong Dal
- 4 tsp Besan (Gram flour)
- 100 gms Carrot (Finely chopped and boiled)
- 100 gms boiled Matar
- 100 gms French Beans (Finely chopped and boiled)
- 1 Onion (Finely chopped)
- 1 Tomato (Finely chopped)
- 1/2 tsp Baking soda
- 1 Lemon Juice
- 2 Green Chilli (Finely chopped)
- 1 tsp Fresh Coriander leaves
- 1 tsp Chat Masala
- Salt to taste
- Oil for frying
Method :
- Soak dal in 3 cups of water for one hour. Drain dal and grind to a smooth paste.
- Take dal mixture into a bowl. Add besan, carrot, green peas, french beans, onion, tomato and mix well.
- Add salt to taste, baking soda, green chillies, coriander leaves, lemon juice and mix well.
- Prepare the steamer and grease the dish to steam the mixture in.
- Pour the mixture into greased dish and put it into the steamer.
- Cook for 10 minutes or till its done- when you touch the surface of the mixture your fingers should come away clean.
- Now let the mixture cool and cut them into shape like french fries.
- Heat sufficient oil in a pan and deep fry these french fries till they are crisp.
- Sprinkle some chat masala on crispy dal fries and serve hot with tomato sauce or any chutney you like.
