Ingredients :
- 450 gms Plum (aloobukhara)
- 450 gms Sugar
- 1/4 tsp Citric Acid
- 1 cup Water
Method :
- Wash and deseed the plums.
- Place plums and water in a large pan and bring to boil. Reduce the heat and cook until plums are softened.
- Drain water and add the pulp of plums to a pan. Add sugar, citric acid and stir continuously until it is cooked properly or the jam starts setting.
- Remove from heat. Cool at room temperature.
- Transfer preserves into sterilized jars. Run the knife or a thin spatula inside the jars after they have been filled to remove any air bubbles. Screw lids tightly and store.
Tips :
- Before filling jam into jars you should sterilize the jars
