Plum Jam

Ingredients :

  • 450 gms Plum (aloobukhara)
  • 450 gms Sugar
  • 1/4 tsp Citric Acid
  • 1 cup Water

Method :

  • Wash and deseed the plums.
  • Place plums and water in a large pan and bring to boil. Reduce the heat and cook until plums are softened.
  • Drain water and add the pulp of plums to a pan. Add sugar, citric acid and stir continuously until it is cooked properly or the jam starts setting.
  • Remove from heat. Cool at room temperature.
  • Transfer preserves into sterilized jars. Run the knife or a thin spatula inside the jars after they have been filled to remove any air bubbles. Screw lids tightly and store.

Tips :

  • Before filling jam into jars you should sterilize the jars
