Mixed Fruit Jam Recipe

Mixed fruit jam refers to a combination of fruits that have been prepared and canned for  long term storage. There are various types of mixed fruits jam globally. The common fruits that are used in mixed fruit jam are apple, papaya, orange, chiku, pineapple etc. 

Ingredients :

  • 500 gms Apple
  • 250 gms Papaya
  • 250 gms Grapes
  • 1 Banana
  • 1 Chiku (Sapodilla)
  • 1 Mosambi (Sweet Lime)
  • 1 tsp Citric Acid
  • 750 gms Sugar

Method :

  • Peel apple and cut into dices. Now soak these apples in water for a while.
  • Peel and cut the rest of the fruits.
  • Heat 2 and half cups of water, add all the fruits and cook until all the fruits are soft.
  • Now remove from heat, drain the water out.
  • Mix sugar into the boiled fruits and grind them.
  • Add this fruit pulp and citric acid to a pan, cook till the mixture gets thick.
  • Remove from heat. Cool at room temperature.
  • Transfer preserves into sterilized jars and store in refrigerator.
