
Paneer paratha – Indian flat bread stuffed with paneer mixture. There are different varieties of paratha we prepare at home and one of them is paneer paratha. A perfect breakfast dish which can be served with yogurt and pickle. I usually prepare paneer paratha for my son’s lunch box.
Ingredients :
For Dough
- 1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour (atta)
- Salt to taste
- Sufficient amount of water to knead the dough
For Stuffing
- 1 cup paneer (crumbled)
- 1 green chili (finely chopped)
- 2-3 tbsp coriander leaves (finely chopped)
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- 1/2 tsp garam masala
- Salt to taste
Method :
- To Make stuffing, take all the stuffing ingredients in a bowl.
- Mix well till everything is incorporated well. Divide into equal portions and keep it aside.
- Add little water at a time and start kneading the dough.
- Knead it till it gets smooth and soft. Cover the dough and let it rest for at least 15 minutes.
- Divide the dough into equal portions.
- Roll a portion of the dough using a little flour for rolling.
- Place the stuffing in the center of the circle.
- Bring together all the sides in the center and seal tightly.
- Roll again into circle using little flour for rolling.
- Heat a tava (griddle) and cook the paneer paratha using a little ghee until golden brown spots appear on both the sides.
- Repeat with the remaining dough and stuffing to make more paratha.
- Serve hot paneer paratha with yogurt and pickle.
