Paneer Bhurji Recipe

Paneer bhurji is a very simple and quick dish which anyone can try. It can be served with parathas or roti in the breakfast or even in lunch and dinner as side dish along with some dal or raita. Ingredients :

  • 200 gms Paneer (crumbled )
  • 1 Onion (finely chopped)
  • 2 Tomatoes (finely chopped)
  • 1 Green chilly (finely chopped)
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp Red Chili powder
  • 1 tsp Coriander powder (Dhaniya)
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp oil or butter
  • Chopped coriander leaves for garnishing
 Method :
  • Crumble the paneer and keep aside.
  • Heat oil or butter in a pan. Add cumin seeds.
  • When it starts crackling add onions and cook till onions becomes translucent or soft.
  • Now green chilly, tomatoes, turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder ,salt t0 taste and cook until oil separates from masala.
  • Now add the crumbled paneer and let it cook for 1-2 minutes.
  • Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
  • Serve hot paneer bhurji with chapatti or paratha.

Tips :

Don’t overcook the paneer otherwise it will get hard.

If you love spinach you can also add chopped spinach in bhurji.
