Spinach is not only important in improving the haemoglobin level but also helpful in reducing the blood pressure level and beneficial in maintaining the good eyesight.

So today I am sharing palak paratha which is full of nutrition.

Palak Paratha

Ingredients :

  • 3 cups Whole Wheat Flour
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped Spinach (Palak)
  • Salt to taste
  • Red Chili powder as required
  • Ghee

Method :

  • Combine the whole wheat flour, salt to taste in a bowl and mix well.
  • Add enough water and knead into a semi-stiff dough. Keep aside.
  • Wash palak thoroughly and finely chop them. Now place the palak on the kitchen towel so that the excess water can be absorbed. Keep aside.
  • Divide the dough into equal sized portions and roll a portion of the dough into a small circle.
  • Place a little amount of spinach in the centre of the circle, sprinkle some salt, red chili powder and bring together all the sides in the centre and seal tightly.
  • Roll again into a circle with a little flour.
  • Heat a non-stick tava (griddle) and cook the paratha using a little ghee until golden brown spots appear on both the sides.
  • Repeat with the remaining dough and stuffing to make more parathas.
  • Serve hot palak paratha with curd and favourite pickle.
