Palak paneer is a north Indian recipe consisting of spinach and paneer cooked in a thick spinach based gravy. Its rich in protein, iron, calcium.

Ingredients :
- 200 gms Cottage Cheese (paneer)
- 1 bunch Spinach (palak)
- 1 Onion (Finely chopped)
- 2 tbsp Ginger Garlic paste
- 1 cup Tomato puree
- 2 green Chillies
- 1/4 tsp Red Chilli powder
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
- Salt to taste
- 2 tbsp Oil
- 2 tbsp Cream
Method :
- Wash the spinach thoroughly. Blanch the spinach in boiling water for 2-3 minutes.
- Drain, refresh with cold water and keep aside to cool for sometime.
- Grind spinach into smooth puree along with green chillies.
- Heat oil in a pan, add onion and saute till they are translucent.
- Add ginger garlic paste and cook till the raw aroma disappear.
- Add tomato puree, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, salt to taste and cook till the oil separates.
- Add the spinach puree and stir. Add water if required.
- Add cream and mix well.
- Add paneer, mix gently and cook for 2 minutes on low flame.
- Serve hot.
