Bhindi Masala Recipe

Bhindi is the most common made recipe in Indian kitchens. Everyone is going to love this recipe. It is really easy and  simple to cook.

  • 250 gms Bhindi or Okra
  • 2 Onion (Finely Sliced)
  • 2 Tomato (Finely chopped)
  • 7-8 Garlic cloves
  • 1 tsp Cumin Seeds
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp Red Chilli powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tsp Coriander powder

Method :

  •  Wash the bhindi. Spread them on thali and let them dry on their own.
  • Once they are dry, cut them in one or two inch pieces.
  • Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds.
  • When the colour changes add chopped garlic and saute till the raw aroma disappear.
  • Now add sliced onion and fry till they are pink in colour.
  • Add tomatoes, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder, salt to taste and cook till the oil separates.
  • Add bhindi and mix well so that the masala uniformly coat the bhindi pieces.
  • Cook the bhindi for 5-10 minutes or till they are cooked properly.
  • Serve bhindi masala with hot chapattis.
