Sprouted Moong Fruit Chaat Recipe

Sprouts are the powerhouse of nutrients. One major reason why a majority of kids and adult don’t like to eat sprouts is its different taste. To mask the taste of sprouts prepare them according to this recipe. For all the growing kids who need high energy throughout the day for  the physical and mental activity they do, they should have sprouts once a day in their main meal or in the evening snack.sprouted moongServing : 4     Soaking and Sprouting Time : 2      Days Prep Time : 10 minutes

Ingredients :

  • 1/2 cup Green Gram (Moong)
  • 1/2 cup Moth
  • 1 Apple (Finely diced into small cubes)
  • 2 tbsp Pineapple (Finely diced)
  • 3 tbsp Pomegranate seeds
  • 10-12 Almonds (Soaked overnight and peeled)
  • 1/2 tsp Rock Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Chaat Masala
  • 1/2 Lemon Juice (Or according to taste)

Method :

For Making Sprouts:

  • Soak moong and moth in 2 cups of water for overnight. Drain the water from moong and moth, cover the bowl with a lid and keep aside for one day. Take the sprouts out from the bowl and use.
  • Take sprouts in a bowl, add finely diced apple, pineapple, pomegranate seeds, almonds and mix well.
  • Now add rock salt, chaat masala, lemon juice and mix well.
  • Arrange in the serving bowl and enjoy.
