Spicy Palak Balls (Spinach Fritters)

As the winter season starts everyone love to have leafy vegetables in their main course or in the form of snacks or starters. Spicy palak balls…once I tried this recipe for my son and he loves it. This recipe is rich in iron, minerals, vitamins and fibre. Spinach will provide you the iron and on the other hand peas are rich in minerals, vitamins and fibre.

Spicy Palak Balls

Ingredients :

  • 2 cup Spinach/Palak
  • 3 medium boiled Potato
  • 1/2 cup boiled Green Peas
  • 1 cup Suji (Semolina)
  • 1 tsp Ginger paste
  • 1 tsp Green Chili paste
  • 1 tsp Garam masala
  • 1 tsp Lemon juice
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for frying

Method :

  • Wash the spinach thoroughly, remove the larger stalks. Drain excess water from the spinach leafs and finely chop the leaves into small pieces.
  • Now take a bowl and mix all the ingredients except oil.
  • In the mean time heat sufficient amount of oil in a kadai.
  • Make equal size of small balls from this mixture.
  • Deep fry spinach balls on a medium flame till golden brown.
  • Serve hot Spinach balls with green chutney or tomato sauce.
