Oats Apple Porridge

Today I am sharing one more recipe for your little ones that is Oats apple porridge. This recipe is very healthy and nutritious for toddlers.  Oats are rich in energy, protein and fibre on the other hand milk is a good source of calcium which is very essential for the growing kids.

Ingredients :

  • 1 cup Milk
  • 1 tbsp Oats
  • 1 Apple (Peeled and finely chopped)
  • 1 tbsp Sugar
  • 1 tsp Butter

Method :

  • Heat the butter in a non-stick pan, add the oats and sauté on a low flame for 2 minutes or till the oats turn light brown in colour.
  • Add the milk and sugar, mix well and cook on a low flame for 2 to 3 minutes, while stirring occasionally.
  • Add the apple, mix well and cook on a low flame till the apple is cooked properly.
  • Remove from the flame and keep aside to cool slightly.
  • Serve lukewarm

Tip : When the mixture is cool you can also blend in a mixer to a smooth puree.
