Besan ke Ladoo

Besan ke Ladoo is one of the recipes that have been prepared by everyone’s grandmother. This mouth watering dessert can be kept stored in an airtight container for up to 2 months and it will not go bad. It is one of the desserts that has become a staple  item in every sweet shop across India. So, let us start with the recipe.

Ingredients :

  • 3 cups Gram Flour (Besan)
  • 1 cup Suji (Semolina)
  • 2 cups Ghee
  • 20-25 Almonds (Badam)
  • 2 cups powdered Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Cardamom powder

Method :

  • Heat ghee in a kadai and add green cardamom powder.
  • Add gram flour, suji and roast on low heat till the mixture turns into light brown colour or a nice aroma is given out. This procedure takes approximately 10-12 minutes.
  • Crush almonds. Transfer roasted mixture to a bowl or thali and add crushed almonds and mix well.
  • Let the mixture to get slightly cool. Add powdered sugar and mix well.
  • Roll the ladoo in your hand to give a perfect round shape.
  • Delicious besan ke ladoo are ready to serve.
